Stations
Six locations, each pairing a NOAA CO-OPS tide gauge with the nearest NDBC wave buoy. No single NOAA product carries both, which is why every station has two source identifiers.
-
Crescent City
The northernmost station, exposed to the full North Pacific swell window.
-
La Jolla
The southern end, and the warmest water on the coast.
-
Monterey
Deep water close inshore; the submarine canyon reaches almost to the beach.
-
Port San Luis
A south-facing hook on a north-facing coast.
-
San Francisco
Inside the Golden Gate, where the tide does most of the talking.
-
Santa Monica
Inside the Channel Islands shadow, where swell arrives filtered.
